Principal at School Where Fetty Wap Video Shot on Paid Leave
School officials in Patterson, NJ are looking into the shooting of a Fetty Wap video in his old high school. It includes drug references and a pole dancer. “Wake Up” was shot outside of school hours & released April 20. The school’s principal is on paid leave.
Sky News reports;
Terry Corallo, a spokeswoman for the Paterson school district, told NJ.com that district was investigating whether proper procedures were followed in allowing parts of the video to be recorded at the school.
It was shot outside lesson times and does not include any students.
Community leaders have claimed the video glamorises negative behaviours.
Kenneth Simmons, a school board member, told The Record newspaper: “I’m from Paterson and I’m proud of his success, but as a parent and school board member I think it sends the wrong message.”
