#AskALady “We’ve Been married 5 years, but he has a 3 year old son”

Every week I take the chance to answer some tea sippers questions on my #CatchTheTea Podcast and #CatchTheTeaAfterDark. The questions are always quite interesting. Not only do I give my feedback but my guest co host answer the questions as well.

This week’s letter is from Ronda;

Dear Tru Lady,

I’m just frustrated with my husband. We’ve been married for five years and 3 months ago he was served child support papers for a three year old boy! He claims to have no knowledge of this child or the woman who is seeking support. Tru Lady I’m not sure what I’ll do if this child is for him….we don’t even have our own children. I really can’t make heads or tails of this situation. Do you have any advice for me?

Peep my advice below

Meek Mill A Free Man

Your twitter fingers were put to good use becasue all your #FreeMeek hashtag prayers have been answered. The MMG rapper has been behind bars for the past five months on probation violation. According to reports the Supreme Court of Philadelphia overruled Judge Brinkley’s decision to not release Meek Mill on bail.

In a statement to TMZ, Meek says:

“I’d like to thank God, my family, my friends, my attorneys, my team at Roc Nation including JAY-Z, Desiree Perez, my good friend Michael Rubin, my fans, The Pennsylvania Supreme Court and all my public advocates for their love, support and encouragement during this difficult time.”

Meek is not quite out of the woods yet because he does have to return to court in June.

Kevin Gates Is Seeking A Restraining Order Against His Parole Officer

Kevin Gates has been a free man since January 2018. The BWA camp has remained quiet for the most part. Kevin Gates is ready to hit the road and get back to the money but his Parole officer will not let him be great.

According to reports;

His parole officer Ned Swartz because his requests to travel for the next several months has denied, even though he has complied with all of the terms of his probation and has only been allowed to travel on two different occasions. According to the suit, Shwartz’ refusal to give Gates permission to travel will impact several major concerts, including the JMBLYA Festival and Rolling Loud in May, the BET Awards in June and the Common Ground Festival in Michigan.

Of course this is effecting Gates cash flow. The Baton Rouge rapper is filing a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction that stops his parole officer from denying him permission to leave so he can perform, see his children and continue his career.

Kendrick Lamar Wins Pulitzer

Congratulations to Kendrick Lamar, he won the Pulitzer Prize for music. THE TDE rapper is the first non-classical or jazz artist to win the Pulitzer. He won for his album “DAMN.,” released April 14, 2017. “Damn” won five Grammys.

According to reports, The Pulitzer board referred to Kung Fu Kenny’s certified double platinum 2017 LP as;

Meek Mill Granted New Trial

Many have rallied behind Meek Mill since his imprisonment for the last 5 months in Philadelphia. The MMG rapper appeared in court today, even though he was not set free he still received positive news. The Philadelphia District Attorney, Larry Krasner, has granted Meek a new trial for his probation violation case. If you are not familiar with Meek’s case, serving out an 2 to 4 year sentence ordered by Judge Genece Brinkley for violating his parole. Meek was originally sentenced to be on probation for 10 years for a gun charge. His legal team made the announcement saying;

“…That effort by this District Attorney was to remove an indelible stain that’s was placed on the criminal justice system back in November. ”

Meek Mill’s next hearing is not until June, which leaves him behind bars for another three months. This may say like a downfall but Meek is in good spirits about the situation and believes his incarceration is a mission he’s been given by God;

“I say don’t show me no pity because this is my life,” he said during a phone-interview with NBC Nightly News’ Lester Holt, last Thursday. “This is what I’ve been going through and I think God put me in this position to be able to do a show with Lester Holt and open up eyes for other young Black men.”

K Michelle Has Blood Trasnfusion, Due to Silicone Spreading in her Body

While live on IG K. Michelle had a break down. K began to tell fans that she had a blood transfer and is recovering in the hospital.

I love y’all so much, it’s been rough. I’ve had blood transfusions it’s been really rough week, but I thank y’all for everything, but I’m okay. I’m crying because I’m happy. It’s been so painful, it’s been a lot. So I just thank God that I made it out on the other side. I didn’t know what was going to happen to me. And nobody did, so this is the first time in my life that I’ve ever gone through something like that.

Watch below.

In a later IG post K Michelle revealed silcone spread through her blood stream saying;

Jan 12 I started a journey to correct a mistake I did over 6 years ago. The first surgery went well so we thought until my body started to shut down while I was on tour. For 26 cities I was on steroids to walk and keep down infection causing me to get off stage and be rushed to ER over 4 times and then the next day back on stage. I later found out the silicone had spread and I would be rushed back into surgery. Last Wednesday I entered surgery barely functioning with my legs and an infection. The surgery to remove all of this from me lasted a long 6 hours. The following days were spent with paramedics until i they realized my blood count was severely low and I was rushed into ER where I was admitted. 2 blood transfusions later I’ve been released and started therapy today heal and walk. I have the most skilled and amazing reconstructive surgeon in Beverly Hills and I’m blessed to be here. It hurts my heart to know there are girls out here who can’t afford to have the best and are just sitting around in pain and infection. I thought I was strong but this changed my life. I saw my life flash right in front of me. So many so called friends and family where no where to be found in this dark hour. People I’ve given my last 2. NO WHERE.?Only a few where there like @moniece_slaughter @erndukes @akbar__v, @richardlomaxbeauty, Ken, Myisha, @iam_whatshername_ ,management, my nurse Denita and my MOM by my bed every night. People had to work and were to busy be there for me. Please don’t try to call me now. I have no hate in my heart but I have no room for you. To those people who have lied on me and still continue to hurt me, I forgive you. I gotta be here for a reason now and fighting with you isn’t it. Slowing my life down now taking my time with my new music there are songs and truths 2 b told. I will sing them. But in my own time and way. My son needs me. Oh and those twins I want can FINALLY come This year because I’ll be able to actually pick them up. The small things matter most now?
